THE BUSINESS

Established in 2001, E M M A J A N E    K N I G H T   is a ladies contemporary, British, quiet luxury brand specialising in top quality cashmere collections, shearling jackets, and made-to-measure / bespoke tailoring services.  It has international appeal for those who value innovative yet timeless designs, made with integrity, a sense of practicality and longevity in mind.  The concept is ‘Less is More’.  Each design has a unique twist, that sets it apart from the mainstream.   The styles are conscientiously created not to lose their shape or feel, even after 20 years in your wardrobe.

Our aim is to provide discerning clients with a Capsule Wardrobe that create outfits for a variety of occasions.  They may be worn again and again in different combinations with on-trend accessories.  The outfits take you from day to evening and pack neatly into a suitcase. 

Travelling in effortless style couldn’t be easier! 

We employ local, skilled, artisans and manufacturer the collections in Italy using certified Cariaggi cashmere, in Nottingham using Todd and Duncan cashmere from Scotland, and in Mongolia, using Eco cashmere certified by the Sustainable Fiber Alliance (SFA) and Oeko TEX. 

Our made-to-measure tailoring collection consists of classic jackets which may be tweaked by our tailor in all sorts of subtle ways to fit a client's size, shape and preferences perfectly.  We offer fabrics from Laurent Garigue, who supply to top fashion houses such as Dior, Chanel and YSL.  

At the heart of our business we choose quality.  It almost always eliminates waste, improves efficiency, and supports businesses that prioritises value.  It saves money as the product needs replacing less frequently.  Focusing on quality also encourages corporate social responsibility practices. 

 

CHARITY

In collaboration with talented wildlife artist, Rose Corcoran, Emma Jane created a Scarf-Sarong Collection, made in Como, Italy, using exquisitely fine LENZING™ certified modal-cashmere.    The uplifting colours of each design feels incredibly cosy around your neck in the winter, and look exquisite as a sarong in the heat.  A portion of our proceeds goes to support The Whitley Fund for Nature's wildlife conservation work.  The Princess Royal is Patron.
