The Founder

Emma Jane Knight founded her London brand in 2001, after years at the heart of the luxury world — at Chanel, Condé Nast Publications, and De Beers. She left that world not to escape it, but to distil it: to take everything she had learned about quality, discretion, and lasting elegance and channel it into something sustainable — a collection built to last, sourced with integrity, and designed without waste.
The impulse was simple. People kept stopping her to ask what she was wearing. The answer was always the same: something considered, something well-made, something she had chosen to keep. The brand grew from that instinct.
The Collection
Emma Jane Knight London is a quiet luxury brand specialising in cashmere knitwear, tailored pieces, and shearling — designed for the long term. Timeless in cut, versatile by design, the pieces move from day to evening, from city to travel, without effort or announcement. There are no logos. No seasonal gimmicks. Luxury here is felt, not signalled.
Cashmere sits at the heart of everything — for its softness, its rarity, and because it reflects the brand's own DNA: refined, natural, and impossible to imitate. The finest yarns are sourced from Todd & Duncan in Scotland and Cariaggi in Italy, both certified to the highest standards of ethical and environmental practice — Oeko-Tex 100, Sustainable Fibre Alliance, and ISO 14001. The collection has more recently expanded to include cashmere from Mongolia and China, where the world's finest raw fibre originates — brought to life by a landscape so extreme that the cold itself creates the softness.
The tailored collection is cut from fabrics supplied by Laurent Garigue — whose cloths are trusted by Dior and Chanel — bringing the same standard of raw material to structure and tailoring that cashmere brings to knitwear. The shearling jackets are made using Spanish Toscana shearling, considered the finest in the world and a natural byproduct of the sheep — nothing wasted, nothing unnecessary.
The collection grows organically — new designs are added, existing pieces sell in their own time. When something is gone, it's gone. What remains is what endures.
Craftsmanship is our origin and obsession. Nature gives our materials their soul. The women who wear them bring them to life.
Charity
In collaboration with wildlife artist Rose Corcoran, Emma Jane Knight created a collection of scarves and sarongs unlike anything else in the range. Corcoran's signature black and white wild cat drawings were digitally coloured and printed onto lengths of certified LENZING™ modal-cashmere, woven in Como, Italy — warm enough for a winter neck, striking enough for summer.
A portion of all proceeds goes to the Whitley Fund for Nature — a small, precise organisation that puts its money exactly where it counts, supporting conservationists working in the field around the world.
Patron: HRH The Princess Royal. Trustee: Sir David Attenborough.

TESTIMONIALS
‘You certainly have incredible 'understated' good-taste, style, and flair - - it shows in everything you do, in the design of your knitwear, your website, your logo, and in the models and backdrops you use’.
And your style permeates consistently – which is seldom the case with others.
