From the Mongolian Plateau to London — The Emma Jane Knight 2026–2027 Luxury Cashmere Collection

From the Mongolian Plateau to London — The Emma Jane Knight 2026–2027 Luxury Cashmere Collection

There is a young woman named Gunzee.

She grew up in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, and is now studying business in London.

When I asked her to model the Emma Jane Knight London 2026–2027 collection, the choice felt instinctively right.

The collection has a story that begins in Mongolia, travels through Scotland and Italy, and ultimately arrives in London — where each design is conceived and brought together.

So it seemed fitting that the woman wearing these pieces should have her own connection to the landscape where one of the world's most beautiful natural fibres begins.

Where the story begins

Mongolia is home to some of the world's finest cashmere and is internationally renowned for its exceptional natural fibre.

Across the vast Mongolian plateau, temperatures can fall to around minus 40°C in winter. The cashmere goats that live in this extraordinary environment develop exceptionally fine, insulating undercoats to protect themselves from the cold.

It is this natural adaptation that gives Mongolian cashmere its remarkable softness, warmth and luxurious handle.

For Gunzee, Mongolia is not simply the origin written on a cashmere label. It is home.

For Emma Jane Knight London, it represents the beginning of a story that brings together some of the world's most respected traditions of cashmere craftsmanship.

From Mongolia to Scotland, Italy and London

The finest cashmere is a story of exceptional fibre, expertise and time.

The newest additions to the collection use carefully sourced Mongolian cashmere. Other pieces have been created using exceptional Scottish cashmere yarn from Todd & Duncan in Kinross, whose heritage in cashmere dates back to 1867, while designs made in Italy use yarn from Cariaggi, renowned for its expertise in fine fibres.

Mongolia. Scotland. Italy. London.

Four places connected by an appreciation of exceptional materials, specialist craftsmanship and considered design.

The collection

The 2026–2027 collection is centred around luxury women's cashmere knitwear, complemented by cashmere scarves and scarf-sarongs, alongside made-to-order women's tailoring using Laurent Garigue fabrics.

The cashmere collection includes beautifully soft, refined pieces designed to become enduring elements of a sophisticated wardrobe — from fine cashmere jumpers and elegant layers to versatile cashmere scarves.

The intention is not simply to create beautiful knitwear, but to select exceptional fibres and develop designs with the quality, versatility and longevity expected of true luxury.

Spanish Toscana shearling

Spanish Toscana shearling jackets provide another dimension to the collection.

Warm, beautifully tactile and naturally insulating, the jackets are made from natural sheepskin that is a by-product of the food industry. Rather than being discarded, the hide is transformed into durable, beautifully crafted outerwear.

The result is a collection that brings together the softness of fine cashmere, the structure of luxury women's tailoring and the texture of Toscana shearling.

Designed in London

Emma Jane Knight London is a British fashion brand rooted in restraint, considered design and a distinctly London interpretation of timeless style.

The collection evolves organically, with new pieces introduced as designs develop and existing pieces sell. Each is considered for its proportion, versatility and longevity rather than simply created to meet a seasonal fashion calendar.

The intention is simple: exceptional materials, beautiful craftsmanship, distinctive design and pieces that remain relevant long after a particular season has passed.

This is what I mean by quiet luxury.

Not a logo.

Not a trend.

But the pleasure of knowing that something has been made exceptionally well.

The shoot

The London shoot took place in my showroom, bringing the luxury cashmere collection to life in the setting where Emma Jane Knight London is designed and presented.

The clean, considered surroundings allowed the character of the cashmere, tailoring and shearling to speak for themselves.

Gunzee brought her own perspective to the collection: young, international and distinctly at home in London, while carrying with her a connection to Mongolia that gives this particular shoot an added meaning.

Behind each piece is a much longer story — from the Mongolian plateau, where the cashmere fibre begins, through the expertise of Scottish and Italian specialists, to my London showroom and ultimately into the wardrobe of the woman who wears it.

That is part of what makes fine cashmere so special.

A collection with a sense of place

There is a quiet pleasure in knowing where something comes from.

Knowing the landscape.

Knowing the fibre.

Knowing the craftsmanship.

And understanding the journey that brings it into your wardrobe.

The Emma Jane Knight London 2026–2027 collection brings together Mongolian cashmere, Scottish cashmere, Italian cashmere craftsmanship, luxury women's tailoring, Spanish Toscana shearling and British design.

A nod to Mongolia, a nod to Scotland, a nod to Italy.  Quintessentially British.

A British cashmere collection for women who know the difference between fashion and style.
